La Jolla Shores, Sun June 15, 2008
It was one of those rare dives that just creeped me out – the entire time I had a weird feeling. The yellow/green/dark murky haze was a constant – even when it “opened” up to 12′ for a minute, it was still very murky – then it would get dark – then I heard strange tapping noises, and not from a jet ski. There were some shadows in the distance that I didn’t really want to get to know. I did observe a mini landslide near the draw out from Vallecitos. 1 Bat Ray swam by me, and I saw a few other “wings” in the distance. I was not amused when another school of baitfish surrounded me. I kept on my merry way this time, I was outta there in :43.
