Scripps Canyon PM, Thurs Nov 29, 2007

Thursday night five of us gathered for a dive to Scripps Canyon. The dive was excellent. After some consideration I give it an A+! The water was not particularly cold, the vis was pretty good at depth, and the biolum was simply outstanding. After getting into knee-deep water, we were essentially past the surf zone. There were not alot of nudis present, but the seal was there again. Though he (or she) did muck up the vis some, we were able to get far enough off the wall that watching it swim around and chase fish was like watching an chase sequence from an Hollywood action movie. Incredible! We did see a good number of swell sharks and octopuses as well. There were lots of T. festiva hanging around in the gorgonia on the east wall of the North branch as well.
