Marine Room, Wed Nov 28, 2007
Picked up our guest from the Bahia and drove over to Marine Room. Quickly discovered that the Beach and Weather report of “0-1 ft surf” and “20 foot visibility” was right on the mark. This was our guest’s second LJ Canyon dive and their first Marine Room dive. We made it around the tip of Wheeler Point before heading back in.
Critters seen: many lobsters, including one that rode the back of my hand for 5 minutes before casually walking off to the sand, 2 sarcastic fringeheads, many small octos, 1 bat ray, 1 horn shark, 1 huge purple globe crab, and 1 large (3 ft) halibut that stood its ground as I swam over it.
