We ran into a very friendly seal pup and watched my client’s excitement while the pup played with us. Also saw a giant black sea bass and the other usual suspects (garibaldi, kelp fish, sheep head, lobsters, crabs, etc). It was an excellent dive, with excellent visibility. We could clearly see the surface and the sun shining down from our max depth (approximately 35′). There is nothing in the world of diving (that I’ve seen) as beautiful as California kelp beds when visibility is good. I’d rather dive them than most any exotic location I’ve been to. It’s like diving in a cathedral.
